New Adventure....starting Tomorrow

I start my first day of work tomorrow at my internship for the summer!  Bright and early at 8am..... :P


Meanwhile my trip up here consisted of me driving 4 days and spending 1 whole day at the mall of america!!!!


While driving my dad and I went through awful traffic on friday because of the holiday weekend, saw a semi truck on fire, realized that the so called flat states really aren't flat at all, went to an amish country store, saw a sign for the bridges of madison county and john wayne's birthplace, and finally made it to Minneso-tah!


I spent memorial day at the Mall of America in Minneapolis a beautiful 10 hours at the mall and wandered around its vast halls of stores, the theme park, aquarium, rows of food places, and finally saw a movie to end my day.


I saw the Hangover 2: beware for those easily offended-----dont see the movie if you are.


It compared really nicely to the Hangover and I always like to see how movie theaters compare in other states......boo for no stadium seating but kudos for comfy seats.


I arrived at the intern place earlier today to find muddy county roads.....with help from a keeper we got my stuff up to the place and I got all settled in.  We all had pizza for lunch and then a fellow intern and myself went for orientation to learn all the basic rules and then got a tour of the facility.


Heres to hoping I make it through my first day unscathed and not completely exhausted!

Leaving in a mini.....dont know when ill be back again

I will be leaving in the morning for my 5 day trip to Minnesota!  I am so excited about the road trip and my final destination!  


I want to warn my readers that I will just have bandwidth where I am going so I will be only allowed to get on the internet and blog if I go to a place with wifi and that may only be every week...if that.


I am looking forward to my new adventure and will be able to write about it more later!

packing and packing....

Since getting into town I have been busy packing and going through my things to get ready to go north starting thursday.


I know I havent been entirely faithful on the daily things, but honestly some days I don't feel are blog worthy.


I watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie yesterday.....I would vote it A+.....but I do love Johnny Depp movies.  I also saw The Tourist, which was I would vote a B.  It lacked the Johnny Depp quirky character that usually comes with his movies.  Today planning on watching the movie Morning Glory....im excited!


Anyways back to going through boxes and finding things needed.

Moving back in with the parents.....

I know almost every recent college grad has had this earth shaking event happen to them where we seem to regress back to our teenage years living in the same room we grew up in...well most of us do...me I moved back into a room I have only known for 5 months of my life and a town I have only spent summers and christmas breaks in for 3 years....


Most of you will move back to the town you grew up in and get to see friends from the past and familiar hang outs.....moving out of the town I grew up in was bittersweet....the town sucked....literally awful town...but I never see the people I grew up with and I had a lot of adults in my teen years that supported me that I am sure think I fell off the face of the earth...and then this new town I have barely known is much better overall with amount of things to do and see and I made new friends at my fav place to volunteer at.


But really why is it that we as mostly 22 year olds get home and regress back to our teen years of doing chores and being worried about what our parents say?  yes I live under their roof, but I did live on my own for 4 years and can manage my life.  I am not saying I am gonna sit my bony butt on the couch all day and do nothing I do help with some chores...but I dont like lists.....


Not everything is bad about living with the rents...or in my case my mom...she pays for my food and buys me treats from the store....twizzlers...yum.  AND I have a movie buddy to go with now!


But I just have to try to hold my temper for a week and a half and then I move out to Minnesota....for you grads who are home a little longer....or a lot longer.....just remember it may be awful...but its free housing!

Summer Fun

I have been spending the last 2 days with my sister from another mother Katie.  We hung out in my town and went window shopping then went to the movies and saw Bridesmaids!  It was a really funny movie and made me laugh a lot.


Tomorrow I head up to Katies house and we hang out around her town and go see the beautiful canyons.  I also am going apartment looking with her and touring her college campus.  


On another note I am 2 weeks away from starting my internship in Minnesota!!!!!  I am super excited to start this new adventure of my life.  I cant wait to leave next thursday to begin my drive up there!

Home finally

After 3 days of packing and moving stuff out of my apartment, I finally drove 7 hours home today.


I packed my car to the brim literally this morning and heres a pic to prove it.

Finally home and unpacked my car...now I have a completely trashed room and I need to organize things this week. 

Next week....MINNESOTA BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Graduation Day

Im sorry for not posting in a while, been busy having a health scare.....I became hypoglycemic at the movies....dont do that....you feel rufied.


I also finished my last week of work and have been busy packing up my apartment.  In 2 years I did not realize I accumulated so much.....stuff.


AND today I graduated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Finally all my hard work has paid off and I received my diploma....and on top of that I made all A's this semester bringing my gpa up to 3.041!!!!

Monday I will see one of my best friends Katie for the first time since January!!!!

Last exam......IM FINISHED WITH COLLEGE!!!!!

I am officially finished with college!!!  Now all that is left to do is to graduate on friday!!!!


4 long years of college and 12 years of grade school later all my hard work finally pays off and I am done finished donezo the end is finally here and man does it feel good!!!!!


Honestly after finishing my last test at 8:20 this morning I had to tell someone....anyone....so I texted my friends, called my bf, called my mom and then my dad!!!!!  Ok so basically I wanted to tell the world....so I facebooked it as my status.....yay!!!!!!!!


First thing after finishing college get skittles and taste the rainbow...then go to work......insert sad face here.....but its cool 3 days left of that and then I am done with it forever!!!!!!


And apparently my boss has no idea when I work this week because he emails me things to do after I am off....hmm I gave him a schedule....maybe check it.


Anyways back to amazing day!!!  Had celebratory lunch with my fav ex-roomy at a new place and then watched House MD on the computer!  Ran some errands, talked to my fav guy in the world, walked my cat to the mailbox and back, and now blogging before doing some packing...then watching Thor with ex-roomy!!!!


I hope its a good movie and I am glad she is done with finals to hang out while I am here for the last few days...tear.....no not really....


I am ready for my new adventure in a new state....can you believe I have never lived outside of this state?  I am ready for different weather and new accents :)

Procrastinating

I am terrible when it comes to getting down and actually studying...seriously I will find anything else to do besides it....most people will facebook for hours or watch youtube videos.....me? I wash my cat and then do laundry....I mean its productive at least.  They were both things on my to do list and maybe I just pushed them up a little....


And like now my laundry is in the dryer at the laundry mat and instead of getting 30 mins of studying done I decided to procrastinate by writing about procrastinating....its a vicious cycle....especially when 1 test stands between me and graduation!


Anyways...Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!  I havent seen my mother on mothers day in 4 years because it is always the week of finals and she lives too far for me to drive home for a weekend......7 hours...but I always make up for it when I do get home.


So heres to my wonderful mother who has taught me to be an independent woman and always follow my dreams no matter what!  I am so glad to have a mother who supports my career choice even though I am basically going to be poor from it....but I will be happy and thats all that matters.

So thanks mom for always being there for me!  Love you!

Last weekend of studying....EVER!!!!

Had a great day yesterday after my 2nd final was done.


Had lunch at which wich with Bethany and then she went on a walk with me and Kahlua.  We went and saw Something Borrowed....which I thought was hilarious!  Came home and ate my favorite thing....PIGS IN A BLANKET!!!!!  


Then I went to Bethany's friends' cd release/performance....and I loved her songs!!!

Then made a late night run to whataburger and had a shake and fries.....good desert.


Now its back to the boring studying life....at least until monday at 8am!!!!  Then I am done...FOREVER!

Finals time

I know I didnt post yesterday, but I was exhausted from a day of work, studying, review sessions and extra credit tour of behind the scenes at the circus.


On top of that I got burned from the tour because I didnt expect to be outside for an hour and a half at 2pm.....not the best time to be on a parking lot...without sunscreen.  


But I did get to see some cool macaws, asian elephants, horses, and dogs.....they had housecats but we didnt get to see them.


I dont think I could be a carni....(circus person).  They seem to really love their animals but like with the elephants I think should have more room to roam.  Maybe thats just me...but the treatment is much better than back in the day circa 1930s....for instance if anyone has seen water for elephants...there is no beating of the elephants EVER.  


I am just glad that they did not have large cats because really thats when I draw the line...large cats being crammed into a cage and then only being let out to perform should be illegal.  The predatory instinct of cats needs to be allowed to be shown through natural behaviors and being in a cage so small they can barely turn in really doesnt do anything good for the cats....so just my thoughts.....


On a positive note Kahlua and I made her 1st successful walk to the mailbox and back....the other times I would have to carry her because she decided to lay down....oh and the mailbox is further than people would think since we live in an apartment!  I am proud of her...but the only problem is when we start to go inside she becomes like a little child leaving the playground....she yells at me.....and so I end up sounding like a crazy person telling my cat "No Kahlua we are going inside so stop yelling at me"....but really I love that I can walk my cat because she is strictly indoors and this is my way of letting her explore the world...safely for both her and the other animals around.


Today is another day of work and studying for my test tomorrow....then one left on monday...yay!


The final countdown until graduation day continues with 1 week and 22 hours left until that lovely time!!!!

Oh and Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone!!!  Now go eat Mexican food!!!!

Had my last official class....ever!


had work and turned in my rewritten paper.....on a lighter note its one of my friends birthdays today and were going out to eat later!!! YAY!!!

I had my last psyc exam today!!!!  That leaves 2 exams left until FREEDOM!!!!!! 


now back to the grind of reading for my next test on friday....boo. Turn in my rewritten term paper tomorrow and hopefully will make an A on it.  Behind the scenes circus tour on wednesday and a review for the test friday.  All the while work calls my name....counting down the days until I am free from that also....I am glad my career is not going to be secretarial work....because I would go insane.


Employers- please dont stick your employees in the basement in a room with no windows and make them keep the air at 55 degrees.....it just gives me a reason to hate the job.  I like to see outside just like everyone else....I want to see the birds and squirrels and rain...well thats if it ever rained....but alas ill be in the dungeon until next thursday...

My Ramblings

I have been told I am slacking on the daily part of my bloggings by my ever so observant brother....so look! I am doing one right after the last one!!!!!


1.  I hate little kids who misbehave and their parents do nothing about it.....yes hispanic lady at the laundry mat Im talking to you....your little 4 year old does not need to be pulling on my car door trying to open it....If I knew what language to yell at you in....i would.  maybe that sounds a little racist but I would do it to anyone honestly.  Oh and then she is pushing a cart with clothes in it and hits the mirror with one of the bags.....yes I am glaring at you through the window....people these days...NO RESPECT


2.  My cat is a kleptomaniac.....its true.  She has stolen: magnets, rubberbands, pin tacks, fake halloween spiders, and decorative rocks.  I dont know why because she has a gazillion toys of her own but no she would rather take my things for toys.


3.  My cat eats weird things....rubberbands, blinds, the rubber stopper for the garbage disposal, and fortunes from fortune cookies.


4.  Senioritis has infected me badly....3 tests stand between me and graduation.


5.  Fruitista Freezes from Taco Bell are amazing!!!!  Especially when studying for a test tomorrow....
