New home....pictures

My hubby and I just got a townhome on an army base and here are some pictures of the place.  Meanwhile I drove off base for a little bit today with him....went to the local mall/shopping area and had some mexican food...which surprisingly wasn't bad for up north.  Also looking forward to the 1st of the month so we can get an actual bed instead of a blowup one.


Also my cat has decided to have a bad habit of knocking over her water bowl....so I glued it to her tray that the bowl goes on.....need to break her of this because its kind of annoying to clean up all the time.


Also how in the world did people survive before microwaves? Having to reheat leftovers on the stove is a little difficult and I live in the day and age where I don't really have the patience for stove time....can't wait for my microwave to get here.

Posting from my new home

After finally getting cable and internet yesterday I can finally post about my adventures.


After 4 days of driving and trying to stay out of bad weather I finally made it to Maryland.


I drove through Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, DC, and Maryland.


What I learned is....Tennessee drivers drive at least 85 on the highway, I now know how semi-truck drivers feel, in Virginia they check speed by aircraft....or cameras, the appalachians are really cool looking, and Virginia fog gets really bad.


Driving through DC during rush hour is interesting....driving 70 in a 55 bumper to bumper.

Trying to pull it all together

Packing up my life at my moms house...preparing to move to Maryland with my husband.  He is trying to find us a place right now and working out the shipping situation of all my stuff.  So I may be living out of a suitcase until he finds a place and a shipping company for us.  All of my stuff here will be going to my grandparents house so it all is in one place....right now I have 4 places that my stuff is at.  A couch at their house...a storage building full in my college town...a bed and tv at my dads...and some furniture at my moms.  Yes its been very unorganized while I was up north at internships...and I can't wait to get to use my things again.  Also I will be able to get my cat back after 7 months of her living with my dad.


Now all my time is spent looking at the job website for zoos hoping for a posting from the maryland zoo....and waiting for everything to work out.


I have also gone and did the married woman thing of changing my name officially...no im not talking facebook official.  I am talking social security card and drivers license....although i did the facebook thing too.


My best friend came and visited me last week and we spent some time taking pictures of us with my computer and the photobooth app...here are some:

New Years Weekend

New Years eve I got to see Maroon 5 live in concert at a casino in Oklahoma!  My mom and I ate at Toby Keith's bar and grill before the concert and then I had an amazing night watching my favorite band!!!!!  This really was the best New Years ever....even compared to seeing the ball drop in Times Square in person...or seeing fireworks go off in Brazil on New Years Eve.
