Zoo time

Today my husband and I went to the zoo.....and turned in more applications for me to get a job....I am determined.


Yeah it was probably not the best zoo day....45 degrees and drizzling....but we already had to go to drop everything off.


We saw a show off otter, adorable arctic foxes, frisky leopards and giraffe, cheetahs stalking their prey in the next pen, penguins cooing, and elephants being trained.  Overall I liked it.  Much smaller than cincinnati, but I really like all the natural forest the entire zoo is in.


My husband is so nice to go with me....considering he had just gotten off a 12 hour shift from work.  He really is my best friend.

All of my stuff arrived from Texas like a week or so ago.  Still trying to get all my wall art up but other than that I have everything decorated.  


Other than that I have been trying to get a job at either of the zoos up here.  So far I was turned down by the national zoo and I have my resume out to the maryland zoo.  Sometimes I just get frustrated that it isn't working out with getting a job in a timely manner.  Heres to hoping for something really soon.


Anyways been doing other not fun things such as getting new tires, and doing taxes.

woohoo....we have a bed!

Wednesday we went and bought a king size sleigh bed and mattress.  It feels so nice to not be on an air mattress anymore!  Ok well it moved downstairs to be our couch for now until all my stuff gets here from texas.  


Also we had a food tasting for our wedding!  I think that so far has been my favorite part of planning a wedding.  I finally was able to see the venue while we were there also.  I cant wait for the actual wedding because it will be beautiful.  


I have been steadily working on planning our wedding over the past few days especially and I have so far booked a photographer, ordered save the dates, ordered my dress...and I have emailed a florist and baker.


On wednesday I took my mini into the car dealer to get a basic tire rotation only to learn i need a whole new set of tires.....and i need my brakes redone.  The brakes are under warranty...yay! But the tires are an unexpected cost...boo for having to use my savings for tires...instead of wedding stuff.


My stuff was picked up in Texas on friday!!!!!  That means that I could have it all back within the week....including my microwave!!!!  I cant wait to decorate and set up all my stuff again.  Life will be much easier now!


Anyways tomorrow is the superbowl!  YAY!  I love the commercials and am super excited about seeing the voice 2 season premiere!
