last few days at the sanctuary

On tuesday the staff took all the interns to lunch to thank us for our hard work.

They gave us each a certificate of completion, a thank you card, a painted paw print from one of the cougars, and we each got to pick out a hoodie from their retail selection.

We also had the cats paint for each of us over the weekend.  My cat was Shazam the black leopard.  I also took a paw casting they had and put his paw print on the painting.

Then we were able to go around and take pictures of the cats....while working of course...and then we played around and climbed the cougar tower....here is a picture of all the interns (girls) and the seasonal keeper (guy)

After playing around we found some really good paw prints in one of the tigers' enclosures and and put casting material inside the paw print and made us each a paw print to take with us.

Today is my day off and I went to an outlet mall to buy new pants and shoes for my next internship.  Shopping trip successful and much cheaper than going to a mall.

  1. Have enjoyed the weekly (?) blogs of your adventures at The Wildcat Sanctuary. They have been very interesting and educational. Was glad to see the other interns. The paw prints were interesting.

Thanks for keeping up to date and informed.
